We Are On Holiday Break!

All right folks, that’s a wrap!

This has been such an incredible year for me. I graduated college, dove headfirst into beta and alpha reading, started the process to earn my life coaching certification, and started building MAR Literary Services from the ground up.

But you know what I’m most proud of? This newsletter. This little corner of the internet where I get to talk honestly about life, writing, and the messy reality of both.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading my ramblings about asthmatic walruses and cookie cutter characters. Thank you for letting me be myself instead of some polished marketing persona.

As we head into the holidays and the new year, I’m wishing you all the good stuff: cozy reading time, stories that keep you up too late, characters who feel like real people, and writing sessions that actually feel productive instead of like pulling teeth.

May your 2026 be filled with love, laughter, finished drafts, and all the creative energy you can handle.

I’ll see you in the new year, I’ll be back on January 12, 2026. Hope to see you back here again!

Until then, happy holidays, and happy writing.

About the Author

Maria Acosta Ramirez Avatar

I’m Maria Acosta Ramirez, a lifelong reader and story nerd who has devoured more than 5,000 books and still thinks there’s nothing better than discovering a character who feels real enough to step off the page. I believe in honesty, curiosity, and the messy joy of the creative process.
When I’m not buried in a book or coaxing writers through their first drafts, you can usually find me talking about why reader engagement matters, experimenting with new ways to make writing fun, or questioning every “rule” of storytelling to see if it actually serves the story.
I approach writing and life the same way: with compassion, curiosity, and a little bit of rebellion. I believe that writing should be a conversation between creator and reader, and that growth comes from asking better questions — not chasing perfection.
